Amid all the wedding planning, you may forget to plan one last but significant detail — your workout regimen. Of course, a bride wants to look and feel her best on this momentous day, so here are a few workout ideas if you wish to crank up the intensity months before the ceremony.
Cardio
Cardio is crucial for any workout routine. However, throw any preconceived notion of cardio out from your brain. You don’t have to slave endlessly on a treadmill or elliptical to get that stunning body you see in fitness magazines. Instead, challenge yourself by performing high-intensity interval training twice a week. High-intensity interval training (HIIT for short) is a system for cardio that cycles through intervals of both extreme intensity and rest. For example, let’s say you’re on the treadmill. Set a timer for 15 minutes. Walk for one minute, and then crank the intensity up to your level of maximum exertion for 15 – 30 seconds. Come back down to a walk for a minute or so, and cycle back until the total time is completed.
Weight Training Bridal Bootcamp
Try to implement weight training three to five times a week. This should be the soul of your entire workout regimen. Lift heavy, and focus mainly on the legs and shoulders for a gorgeous and sculpted look.
